St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church was established in Tampa in 1871. Its first service was held in the hospital building at Fort Brooke. A wooden church was erected in 1883 on the city block bounded by Marion, Twiggs, Morgan, and Madison.

Born in Buffalo, NY, studied at St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY (A.B.) and Berkeley-Yale, New Haven, CT (MDiv.). My spouse, Anne, and I moved from NY to FL in 1970. I became Vicar, then Rector, of St. Catherine’s, Temple Terrace for 22 years. Now, I’m “on staff” at St. Andrew’s.
Diocese of Southwest Florida: one-time Chair of The Pastoral Care Committees, Chair of The Deacon Training School and Bishop’s Canon Pastor to Clergy and their families.
Nationally: Diocesan liaison for the Episcopal National Council on Aging, Chaplain to Retired Clergy, Spouses and Surviving Spouses (Episcopal Church Pension Group) and one-time Coordinator of CPG Chaplains for the Fourth Province.

The organ at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Tampa, Florida, was designed and built by C. B. Fisk, Inc., of Gloucester, Massachusetts.
