Compline is an ancient monastic service offered to God before bedtime. It is the seventh/final church service (or office) of the day in the Christian tradition of canonical hours. The English word compline is derived from the Latin “completorium,” as compline is the completion of the working day. This service includes scripture, prayers, hymns, and the canticle Nunc dimittis.

Please join us at St. Andrew’s for a very special service to quiet your mind from the past week and weekend, and prepare you for the week ahead. The service is short (approximately 30 minutes). There is no sermon. There is no communion. You may participate, or just close your eyes and listen. Or meditate on the softly lit space.  With a candlelit church, sublime music, chant, and heartfelt prayer we hope that compline will nourish your soul.
